Tiki God Ngendi's Mini Pineapple Upside-Down Cakes

Ingredients:
2 (20 oz.) cans Pineapple slices
1/3 cup butter (melted)
2/3 cup brown sugar
9 maraschino cherries (cut in half)
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
Directions:
Drain pineapple, save juice
Stir melted butter and brown sugar together. Evenly divide mixture into 18 muffin cups, sprayed with light cooking spray.

Instead of watching the Oscars last night I took a cruise through the jungle, rode a runaway train through the wilderness, enjoyed some great moment with president Lincoln, saw dinosaurs and traveled the world.

My Disney College Program teacher told us a story of how when he taught at middle school in Pomona he met a kid who was only 12 and a third generation gangbanger. The kid had never really been out of his own neighborhood, so as a favor to the school counselor he took the kid and his two sons to Disneyland.
